29/02: Russia Tourism Propaganda in Germany

Since a few days you can see this advert made by Russian Tourism Office in Berlin U-bahn (metro):

Aside from the fact that this ad looks incredibly tacky, what else is wrong about it?

Well... my version is as follows, but feel free to post yours in the comments below.

First of all the German text says: "Russia - The Country Between Sea and More..." - a game of words? Not exactly. What is there "More" in the picture?

The woman? The tree? The church?

The church is there to appeal to those excited by Russian culture. The woman is there to appeal to those excited by Russian sex. Because otherwise it would look strange: you don't really have tourists going to Russia for a vacation on the sea. They imply that there's sea and more... The tree is put in there to make the subliminal message. This phallic symbol is carefully positioned above the woman to hint as to what "more" is really about.

Ok, maybe I'm obsessed or maybe it's just me knowing that about 20% of independent travelers who come to Russia are actually looking for women. So I think it's funny that finally the National Russian Tourist Office acknowledged the main things Russia has to offer and started to use them in their campaigns.
